Southern Arizona’s Biggest Dance Party Kicks Off with the Tucson Salsa Bachata Dance Festival

09azbTucson’s salsa dance community is coming together this fall to celebrate what promises to be the largest dance event in Southern Arizona.  The Tucson Salsa Bachata Dance Festival (TSBDF) is kicking off October 17-19, 2014 for 3 straight days and 2 nights of performances, lessons, workshops, competitions, and late-night dancing.  From the streets of Havana, to the towers of Tokyo; salsa has become a worldwide addiction that is bringing people together unlike ever before. TSBDF wants to invite this world to our doorstep and put Arizona in the headlines for all the right reasons, with a dance party that is as eccentric as the city of Tucson. Salsa dancing will be at the heart of the event, but organizers of the conference hope for this to reach all corners of Tucson’s rich culture.  This will be an opportunity to showcase the beauty, talent and diversity of our Latin dance community.  With over 30 instructors and performers, originating mostly from the Tucson, Phoenix, and Flagstaff areas; this premier festival will serve as a platform to recognize the wide range of local talent that work hard every day to develop a vibrant dance community.
