Are you a U.S. citizen and eligible to vote? No one who values democracy can afford to sit out this election – please vote!

Registering to vote – Deadline Monday, October 10
Registering to vote can be done at your County Recorder’s Office, by mail, or online at www.servicearizona.com. To register online, you must have an Arizona Driver License, a non-operating identification card issued by the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department, or another record with a digitized signature on file with the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department. To register by mail, you can print and fill out a voter registration form and mail it to your County Recorder.

If you are registering to vote for the first time in Arizona, or if you have moved from one Arizona county to another Arizona county, you must provide proof of U.S. citizenship with your voter registration form.
Any of the following is acceptable as proof:
The number from your Arizona Driver License or non-operating identification card issued after October 1, 1996
A photocopy of your birth certificate that verifies U.S. citizenship
A photocopy of your U.S. passport with your name and passport number
A photocopy of your U.S. naturalization documents
A Bureau of Indian Affairs Card Number, Tribal Treaty Card Number, or Tribal Enrollment Number
If your married name differs from your name on the document, submit a photocopy of your marriage certificate as well.

If you cannot obtain proof of U.S. citizenship documents before the deadline to register, you can still vote in the presidential election and other federal elections by registering with a national voter registration form. Visit the Pima County Recorder’s website for info: https://www.recorder.pima.gov/regvote

Early voting – Begins Wednesday, October 12
Things can crop up on Election Day that make voting difficult – a sick child, a flat tire, or any number of inconveniences. Avoid the lines and enjoy peace of mind by voting early. Find out when and where to cast an early ballot by contacting your County Election Official. Early voting runs from October 12 through November 4.

When you vote at the polls, bring ID with you, such as an Arizona Driver License or non-operating identification card. Don’t have either one? See what additional documents or combinations of documents are accepted here: http://www.azsos.gov/elections/voting-election

You can also request to be put on the PEVL (Permanent Early Voting List) and have your ballot mailed to you in this and future elections. Voting by mail lets you fill out your ballot at the kitchen table – no stress! – and mail it back or drop it off at an early voting location or at any polling place on Election Day. Request to be put on the PEVL through your County Recorder’s Office or check the PEVL box on your voter registration form. PEVL ballots must be received by the Election Official by Election Day, November 8, so they should be dropped in the mail preferably no later than November 1. The PEVL request form for Pima County is here: https://www.recorder.pima.gov/docs/PEVL_Form.pdf

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Find your voting location from your County Election Official. When you vote at the polls, bring ID with you, such as an Arizona Driver License or non-operating identification card. Don’t have either one? See what additional documents or combinations of documents are accepted here: http://www.azsos.gov/elections/voting-election. If you have a PEVL ballot, you can drop off your ballot at any voting location on Election Day – no waiting in line and no need to bring ID with you.
