UNITED LOGOUnited Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona seeks Days of Caring projects from nonprofits, schools, child-care centers

United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona invites nonprofits, schools and child-care centers to sign up to benefit from our community’s single largest volunteer event, Days of Caring 2016.

This year’s Days of Caring will be Wednesday, Oct. 19, and Saturday, Oct. 22.

Starting Tuesday, June 14, agencies can submit projects to be completed during this year’s Days of Caring. Friday, Aug. 5, is the deadline for submissions.

To submit a project, go to www.unitedwaytucson.org/daysofcaring.
Last year, thousands of volunteers rolled up their sleeves and worked on dozens of projects submitted by nonprofits, schools and child-care centers. For example:
Quik Trip employees raked, swept and cleaned up the campus at Cragin Performing Arts Magnet School.
University of Arizona Eller College of Management students took on projects at Empire High School, Jewish Family & Children’s Services and dozens of other sites.
GEICO employees sorted clothing at Amphi Foundation Clothing Bank and helped out at Children’s Museum Tucson.
IBM employees carried out projects at Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona’s Camp Whispering Pines, the Community Food Bank, Postal History Foundation, Therapeutic Riding of Tucson and Our Family Services.
Need help submitting your project? Contact Meredith Bode at daysofcaring@unitedwaytucson.org or 520-903-3902.
