El Rio Continues to Vaccinate Children in the Community

Sets Date for Free Community Event

Tucson, Arizona – The Arizona Partnership for Immunization (TAPI) awarded El Rio Community Health Center with 4 honors at their annual Awards Ceremony at the Phoenix Country Club in late April.
Jennifer Stivers accepted the Cloud Award for Excellence in infant/toddler immunization performance for El Rio Southwest.

Lety Cota and Shari Evans accepted the Cloud Award for Excellence for in infant/toddler immunization performance El Rio El Pueblo.

Terry Brown accepted the Cloud Award for Excellence in infant/toddler immunization performance for El Rio Congress.

Jennifer Stivers received a “Big Shot” Award for her leadership in improving adolescent immunizations rates at El Rio Southwest.

The next community-wide immunization event where children can receive their shots and a dental screening at no charge will be on August 6, 2016 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Congress Health Center at 839 West Congress.  Thanks to the Eaglet Fund Held at the Community Foundation of Southern Arizona, The Gordon Foundation and Union Pacific Railroad Foundation for their support.

Enrolled patients can take advantage of a free walk in immunization clinic daily at one of El Rio Sites.  Call 670-3909 for a schedule of locations.
