VANTAGE WEST AWARDS EMPLOYEES OF THE YEAR

Two Winners Recognized For Excellence

Vantage West Credit Union, southern Arizona’s largest credit union, has named its Employees of the Year, two deserving women who have gone above and beyond everyday responsibilities for the benefit of Vantage West. Cassandra Garber and Veronica Morton were recognized with the award at the company’s annual holiday celebration earlier this month, and both will receive a cash bonus as part of the honor.
Vantage West selects one back office and one front office Employee of the Year from a pool of outstanding employees who have been recognized each quarter with the CEO’s Award of Excellence. Recipients, nominated by co-workers, have demonstrated a commitment to Vantage West’s core values and exhibit a willingness to expand their roles within the organization to benefit Vantage West as a whole.

“This award sends a clear message to our employees that we appreciate character and a demonstrated commitment to the values that serve as a foundation for our organization,” Robert D. Ramirez, president and CEO of Vantage West, said. “Cassie and Veronica represent the heart of Vantage West, and our organization values their hard work, dedication and willingness to serve.”

Garber, who works in the corporate office, was recognized for several reasons, one of which included her willingness to cover the responsibilities of a coworker who took extended leave. In addition, she gained skills while cross-training on new systems and spearheaded content marketing efforts for Vantage West. Garber played an essential role in the company’s Blueprint for Success campaign by noticing an opportunity for improvement, seizing it and dramatically improving the outcome of the campaign.

Morton, who works in the Casa Grande branch, was praised for her influence this year on the marked increase in consumer and business membership at the branch, as well as a significant growth in deposits and loans. Her commitment helped the branch yield its largest net increase in business production since it opened in December, 2010.
