AZ Legal Choice:Sotelo

According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) the L-1A nonimmigrant classification allows a U.S. company to transfer an executive or manager from one of its partnered overseas workplaces to one of its workplaces in the United States.  This classification also enables an overseas company that does not yet have apartnered U.S. workplace to send an executive or manager to the United States with the resolution of starting one.  The company must file a Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker.

Overall Requirements of the Company and Worker
To succeed for L-1 classification in this class, the company must have a connection with an external business (branch, parent company, subsidiary, or partner); and presently be, or will be, doing business as a company in the United States and in,as a minimum, one other country.  While the corporate must be viable, there is no obligation that it be involved in international occupation.
