The Best Of Two Worlds

Welcoming Spring!

10376757_10200105898646751_7584240177026138511_nIt is so exciting to see the changes of the seasons, especially in this region where we live. Almost every day of the year, we are greeted with sunny skies and great temperatures. Yet on some days we can experience all four seasons in the blink of an eye. Once, when I went for a 20 minute walk in Northern, Arizona, I started with sunshine, which turned into rain, then sleet and then snow! Truly we have beautiful and unique weather, full of sun, heat, as well as bright color. I am grateful to live in this land that welcomes us all.

This March, kicks off so many worthy events in Tucson, one of them is:
“Susan G. Komen’s Race for Cure” or the race against breast cancer. This annual event is one in which our newspaper always participates in… We are so proud to support this noble cause. As we all know, breast cancer does not respect age, or race. Right now, we have a member of our family, friends or colleagues, who suffers or have suffered from this disease. They are no longer with us. So please, get tested annually. Detecting any abnormality on time gives us hope, so I invite you to participate this Sunday, March 22 at UA Mall, starting at 6:00am. For information about participating in the race, donations and to be present, visit www.komenaz.org Arizona Bilingual Newspaper is always in the best community events!

Another of the most anticipated events every March is the “Festival Cine Mexico “, which will be held during the week of the 19th to 23rd Like every year, this festival is hosted in only three cities in the American States, one of them is Tucson, Az. Our city has the best of contemporary and classic Mexican cinema with important films in Spanish, with English subtitles and special appearances.
This festival is presented by Tucson Film Office, “UA Hanson Film Institute “, the Consulate of Mexico in Tucson, Arizona Bilingual Newspaper, Univision Arizona, “La Poderosa” along with other media.
In this issue, you will find the information and places where this year’s releases will be presented.
Stay tuned, entrance is free by presenting your ticket.

Arizona Bilingual Newspaper, will host two major events in April and May. The first is the “1st Children’s Day Festival” which takes place on Sunday, April 26th at the “Children’s Museum” located at 200 S. 6th Ave, from 10am to 2pm. On this magical day, every child and parent can enjoy free access to the museum courtesy of Arizona Bilingual. There will be lots of fun throughout the entire day; with sponsors offering gifts and surprises for all those who attend. There will be live music, food, fun, lectures, crafts and plenty to learn. But that’s not all. For the boys and girls from different schools in Tucson, they will be given the opportunity to be Mayor, Vice Mayor, Consul of Mexico, Chief of Police or Firefighter or a different local leader within our community. It will be an event worth remembering where different children will be awarded either by their qualifications or who simply dream of becoming one of the leaders of the community in the future.

Another event that we are preparing for is the “Mothers’ Day Festival” on Saturday May 9, at the “Tucson Clínica Médica Familiar” located at Ajo & 16th Santa Cruz Plaza, where we will be giving away a CAR for FREE! The “Clínica Médica Familiar, Arizona Bilingual, Univision Arizona and other media sponsors will make this possible. Find out more information in our March and April issues, and at all of our social networks.
