February: A Month of Emotions, Birthdays and Events

10376757_10200105898646751_7584240177026138511_nFebruary always makes us feel nostalgic. It is a month where we like to show our friends and the people around us that we care. Not to mention the people we love; like our children, beloved ones, parents, and the rest of our family and loved ones. I invite you to always smile, hug and truly consider your friends, coworkers and colleagues’ feelings. Let’s show our love and passion to those around us-every day! An expensive gift is not necessary; a flower or a card is enough. It is the detail that counts! I wish you all a Happy Valentine’s Day. Express it with lots of smiles and kind words.

February is also characterized by many events in the city of Tucson, such as, the famous Gem Show. We can find giant tents in over 40 locations around the city where products are shown to thousands of people from different countries that have come seeking gems, minerals and fossils. For more information visit the website www.visittucson.org.

Another event to enjoy is the great Tucson Rodeo and Parade. “Fiesta de los Vaqueros”. This will be the 90th year for this annual event which takes place February 21 to March 1. On Thursday, February 26 we will enjoy one of the largest non-motorized parades in the United States. Undoubtedly, it is nine days of excitement filled with rodeo competitions, boots and hats. For more information and tickets, call (520) 741-2233 or visit www.tucsonrodeo.com. So, my friends, let’s enjoy February with all of these great events offered by our city!

Dear readers, do not forget to take cautions in this cold month. Be very careful with children and elderly people. There have been many cases of influenza, bronchitis and pneumonia detected. Other diseases that are present are measles, chickenpox and shingles. Remember that vaccines can make all the difference. Illnesses are usually milder when you have been vaccinated. Find out more information at your preferred health care provider. Ask about vaccinating your children to protect them. It is never too late! Remember to drink a lot of liquid and eat seasonal fruits along with healthy foods. Health is the greatest treasure we have…guard it well!

I wish you again a Happy Valentine’s Day with love and congratulations to everyone with birthdays this month!!!
Lovingly,
